In-Ground Basketball System

In-Ground Basketball Systems – The life of your basketball system depends on many variables. For safety reasons, and to prolong the life of your basketball system, you should take the following preventive measures:

  • Do not climb or slide on basketball pole
  •  Do not use height adjustment mechanism to hoist anything other than the backboard and rim as this will void the warranty.
  • Check all nuts and bolts regularly and tighten if necessary.
  • Check the pole cap for cracks or tears that could allow water into the pole and replace if necessary.
  • Check all pole sections for visible rust or chipped or cracked paint. If either are present, do the following:
  1. Use an emery cloth, or medium to fine-grained sandpaper, to completely remove any rust or chipped paint.
  2. Clean the area with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.
  3. Apply two coats of a rust preventative, high gloss enamel paint to the area, allowing paint to completely dry between coats.
  4.  If rust has penetrated through the pole anywhere, replace it immediately!
  5. Contact Customer Service for replacement parts if needed. Call 1-800-225-3865.

Portable Basketball

Portable Basketball Systems - The life of your basketball system depends on many variables. For safety reasons, and to prolong the life of your basketball system, you should take the following preventive measures:

  • Do not slide, climb, or play on rollerbase or basketball pole.
  • Do not use system in an area where property may be damaged if the system tips over.
  • Do not use system during windy or severe weather as it may tip over.
  • Completely fill the portable roller base to capacity with only sand or water to provide maximum rigidity and prevent the system from tipping over. We recommend sand. If using water, do not add antifreeze. The material of the roller base is made to expand in freezing weather.
  • Make sure the surface beneath the base is free and clear of stones and sharp objects that could puncture the base and cause leaks.
  • Check base daily for cracks or punctures as leakage will lighten the system and may cause it to tip over.
  • Lay your portable system down on the ground if cracks or punctures are found and call Customer Service.
  • Lay your portable system down on the ground when the roller base is empty to prevent it from being tipped over.
  • Check all nuts and bolts regularly and tighten if necessary.
  • Check the pole cap for cracks or tears that could allow water into the pole and replace if necessary.
  • Check all pole sections for visible rust or chipped or cracked paint. If either are present, do the following:
  1. Use an emery cloth or medium to fine-grained sandpaper to completely remove any rust or chipped paint.
  2. Clean the area with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.
  3. Apply two coats of a rust preventative, high gloss enamel paint to the area, allowing paint to completely dry between coats.
  • If rust has penetrated through the pole anywhere, replace it immediately!
