More Options for Novice Kayakers with New SitInside Models from Lifetime

CLEARFIELD, UTAH — Lifetime Products Inc., one of the largest kayak manufacturers in the U.S., is expanding its line of water sports products to now include sit-inside kayaks, giving beginner and intermediate kayakers an affordable option for a sit-inside kayak boasting great performance, quality, and stability.

The new Lifetime Payette™ Kayak is an ideal 9'8" size that combines supreme stability with fast tracking. Its stable flat bottom hull with deep tracking channels and stability chine rails is engineered specifically for beginners. However, its shorter size and sharp keel allow for tighter tracking, better maneuverability, and faster speeds which  appeal to intermediate kayakers.

"Sit-inside kayaks are ideal in colder water climates because the rider doesn't get as wet as on a sit-on-top kayak," said Lifetime Products Water Sports Marketing Specialist Candace Weaver. "Our Lifetime sit-on-top kayaks have been an overwhelming success with our consumers so it made sense to expand our line of beginner-oriented kayaks and offer a more traditional kayak model, too."

Constructed of blow-molded high-density polyethylene, the Lifetime Payette™ Kayak is durable, impact-resistant, and UV-protected so it will not fade, crack, or peel. The lightweight, 44-pound design with front and rear carry handles makes it easy for one person to transport to and from the waterfront. Unlike most sit-inside kayaks on the market, the Lifetime Payette™ Kayak features a molded-in seat for comfort with a separate seat back. Its extra-wide cockpit opening allows kayakers to get in and out with ease and also provides more leg room that is augmented with multiple footrest positions for different-sized riders. 

In addition, the Lifetime Payette™ Kayak has several extra features to enhance paddling experience including a cup holder, an enclosed water-resistant storage compartment with lid, and paddle holder shock cord straps. For fishing enthusiasts, the new sit-inside kayak is also available in a Lifetime Payette™ Angler Kayak model that features two flush-mounted fishing pole holders and a top mount rod holder.

Debuting this month, the Lifetime Payette™ Kayak can be purchased at Sports Authority for $299 and is also available online in the Lifetime Store. The Lifetime Payette™ Angler Kayak fishing model currently is available only at Sports Authority and is offered at  $349. The new sit-inside kayaks join Lifetime's extensive line of water sports products which includes sit-on-top kayaks, youth kayaks, and paddleboards.
