I finally bit the bullet and bought one, and tried it out. Even with several poles, tackle boxes, snacks and everything else it still handled very well in the water. I was able to swap poles, change up tackle and do all the things I wanted to do without issue. Still tracked very well through the water as well, making for a great trip!
Date published: 2016-03-21

Rated 5 out of 5 by Breezin from Awesome fishing boat My husband bought a kayak reluctantly due to the fact that he didn't think he would use it enough however he is gone every weekend during the summer/fall fishing and when we go camping he takes it with us to fish on the lakes. The rod holder adjustment screw needs to be 1/4 longer with a hole drilled through the end and a small split key ring though it. keeps it from coming apart and you can hook your stringer right there. I also have a jon boat and a pontoon boat for fishing but I wanted something I can just throw in the truck and go. This thing easily cruises across the lake and I caught lots of fish. I wasn't keen on getting a wet butt so early in the morning and plan on plugging the scupper holes before the next trip. I picked my kayak up at Big 5 for $286 including tax. It was the last one they had! I'm very happy with this kayak.
Date published: 2015-08-25

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kris from Great Product - Great Service We purchased our Tamerack Angler Kayaks 3 years ago and LOVE them! Comfortable, Stable and with great features such as pole holders, storage and comfortable seat back. We purchased a YAK pad for the seat to make it even more comfortable. Recently I lost the cover to the center storage compartment coming back from a trip. I contacted Lifetime via e-mail to see if I could order a replacement. Much to my surprise, they shipped a replacement to me free of charge. I have taken it out a bunch of times and I am ready to write a review. I bought this kayak based on the price alone. I had done the research, on all types and makes and models of kayaks. I narrowed it down to two, and I chose this one because, for an entry level kayak it was $250 less than the other one I wanted. For the price, you do get a lot however. Reading reviews on this kayak from other sites and vendors, there were complaints of there not being a seat cushion, and weak/faulty carry handles.I don't have these issues as mine had a seat cushion, and what looked to be different, more well constructed and more well fastened carry handles.I have only two complaints. The storage compartments/hatches, and how they are not individual spaces. They open into the hull of the boat, and that's just not practical! With a little creativity, and ingenuity you can customize the hatches, to be more functional for fishing. My other complaint is the construction of the stern hull(or back underside). If you notice in the picture you can see an elongated rectangular piece or what may act as a rudder... My guess is this is for stability, because you can stand on this kayak, and balance easily. However when paddling, the bulky shape of it causes the backside to "waggle". Sort of like a duck...This makes tracking slow, and hard work especially in choppy conditions! This is expected in a kayak under 12ft.Overall, for a beginner kayak, not a bad choice, especially if you are not looking to invest too much in a sport you may not enjoy, or eventually not have time for. ITS A GOOD BANG FOR THE BUCK, AND I RECOMMEND IT!!!
Date published: 2014-01-18

Tamarack 120 Angler (tan) Reviews - page 2

2016-04-30T08:59CST

bvseo_cps, prod_bvrr, vn_cps_3.2.0

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_0, tr_10

loc_en_US, sid_90237, PRD, sort_mostRecent

clientName_LifetimeProducts
