15 x 8 ft Outdoor Storage Shed (Dual Entry)

Looking for an outdoor shed that requires very low maintenance? This 15 x 8 foot Lifetime Storage Shed is constructed of high-density, steel-reinforced double-walled polyethylene plastic which is UV protected against fading. No painting required to look as good as new for many years. Doesn't split or warp like wooden sheds, or dent and rust like metal sheds. Simulated wood shingled roof and wood-grain textured wall panels make a Lifetime outdoor storage shed an attractive addition to your backyard. Designed with all the features that you appreciate in an outdoor shed, as well as lots of shelving and organizational accessories to keep the shed contents organized and easy to find. Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Covered by a 10 yr. limited factory warranty in US and Canada.

  • Consult local building codes before assembly. Requirements vary from county to county
  • This model is not compatible with the Lifetime Extreme Weather Kit.
  • This shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). Flooring must be anchored to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 6 hours.

For more information about assembly, read the Owner's Manual Sample and watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

Assembly & Manuals

15 ft. x 8 ft. Shed (dual entry) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 15' x 8' Storage Shed I like the look, and it is plenty big enough, but man are the instructions complicated. The parts aren't labeled with numbers, but the directions refer to them with numbers. Then quite a few parts come in boxes with a number, but all the parts in the box aren't that number. So, you have to look at illustrations and hope you can actually see what the part looks like, to get the right one. You almost have to be an engineer to figure out the instructions and you better make sure the ground is 100% level. If not, you will have problems aligning everything.I think your product works well, but you really need to rewrite your instructions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product - IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT TOGETHER! We have been trying to put this shed together now over a week's time. We started on a Saturday at 10:00 a.m. - quit at 5:30 and had the floor and some walls put up. The instructions are vague. Only the bags of nuts, bolts, handles, etc. are labelled well. When it comes to the pieces of the shed itself, there are so many that are almost exactly alike with very small and unnoticeable differences that you end up putting things together - only to have to take them back apart again when you realize you had the wrong piece in the wrong place. Simply labeling the parts with a STICKER would have helped tremendously. We have put about 12 hours total now into putting our shed together and are no where near being done. The quality of the shed itself is excellent. I am sure if we ever get it put together, it will last forever and totally will meet our needs ... that's IF WE EVER GET THIS PROJECT FINISHED!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Went together OK but there are issues. My buddy and I assembled this shed in about 12 hours after I had built the platform out of treated 2x4's and plywood and all sub-assemblies (trusses, gables, doors, skylights). It has rained heavily a couple of times since the shed was completed and there are no signs of leaks.Everything went together well and all holes lined up as expected. However, when the shed was complete the front doors would not close properly. We were puzzled because the platform was perfectly square and level and all wall and roof panels fit perfectly. We noticed the floor and front wall section to the right of the front door were raised up off the platform about 3/4". There was no apparent reason for this. We tried adjusting the tension on the truss rods but this had no effect. Fastening the shed down to the platform also had no effect. Until I can find a solution for this problem, I can only use the doors at the end of the shed.I would have rated this shed at 5 stars were it not for the problem with the front wall and doors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice shed My wife and I finished this shed in about 4 days in between thunderstorms. Two people should be able to put it up in two days. The support from Lifetime is great with youtube videos, live chat help, or phone help. I found the "live chat" and online videos worked best for me. Page 90 & 91 in the manual will show you how to adjust your doors with shims. The delivery for me went smooth moving it from the delivery truck to my pickup but here's a tip. It comes in 3 boxes weighing about 800 pounds. I had no help so I had to remove the parts from the boxes from the back of my truck. If you do this keep up with which box the parts came from. This will save you time later on. Pay close attention to the instructions and make sure you have the right part the manual calls for. It can get confusing. All in all, we really like our new shed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't expect the shed to be built in a day... The deliver folks put the very large and heavy crates right in the middle of my driveway making my driveway unusable until I could get the boxes destacked and moved. Not Lifetimes fault, but just a warning to make sure you are around when the deliver arrives!!Make no mistake, you need to build a very level base for this shed!! It can not be emphasized enough. It just won't come together if you do not.The black flooring looks simple enough, but be careful with the configuration as it is very confusing with respect to where your doors will be located and how the pieces should be placed.Expect to need two people for assembly. Have a third person that manages the directions and reads them carefully. My father and I assembled this shed and we are both aerospace engineers and I am also a aircraft mechanic and we still found a few gotchas along the way.It will take a significant amount of strength during parts of the construction. You will bang, punch, pull, twist, and put all your back into this construction project. There are a number of areas where you just have to scratch your head and take a guess as to what to do. Some areas just aren't too instructive.All-in-all, the instructions worked, the parts where their, and we built a shed that is usable for my: John Deer 140 tractor/mower, utility cart, two spreaders, self propelled mower, high pressure sprayer, wheel borrow, tools, etc...My garage is now free to put my cars into and I have a nice workbench :)This is not a project that you should expect to do on your own. Some parts yes, assembly NO!I can also say that it has survive a couple very strong storms as well as a snow storm that dropped close to 3 feet of snow with 60 mph wind gusts. That being said, you need to lock the shed to ensure the doors stay shut in the wind. The push button open/close mechanisms will not keep the doors closed on windy days.Best of luck on your shed project.David

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly Easy! My mother and I purchased this Building so she could have a work space for her projects without taking up space on the porch. I was reluctant to purchase another "Assembly Required" shed after struggling to put together an Arrow Metal Building. I swore that I would never assemble another building after that experience. Even though Lifetime recommends two or more people to assemble this building. I was clear to me that they designed it for one person to assemble if needed. It took me about two and a half days from start (opening the boxes) to finish (fully assembled). I assembled this building on my own with no help. I must say it was AMAZINGLY EASY! Only three minor problems to address but by no means will keep me from a future purchase. The issues I encountered were the instructions for door placement and the panels. If you choose to put the door on the end as pictured, you will need to mirror image the wall panels from the instructions. The other issue concerns the shutters. If you go by the screw hole markers on the walls. The shutters will end up being installed about 5 cm about the top of the window. Because I didn't want to drill new holes, I simply installed hook on flower boxes to the windows. Lastly, one of the metal rails that is installed on the broad side door was too long and I had to use a hack saw to cut off about 3 cm. Three very minor issues that were easily remedied. It was truly a pleasure assembling this building for my mother. She will get many years of projects out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny This is really a great shed! We bought this last November and haven't been disappointed so far. It lasted through a New England winter so no need to worry about the durability. My neighbors and guest have all commented on how great it looks. And my father-in-law a wood working shop teacher was flawed on the features and how well it was designed. With two growing boy I may need to buy another someday in the near future!

Ask a Question

how good are the vents for circulation

Asked by: juno
The vents do provide some circulation but in all honesty it gets hot in the shed. I have an 11x21 in my backyard and we leave the doors open when we are doing yard work to get circulation. We still love our shed and couldn't live without it. Hope this helps!

Where are the instructions for installing the door on the opposite end.  The current instructions show it on the right, but all your pictures show it on the left, which is the way I want it

Asked by: Karu
There are no instructions for positioning the doors on the opposite end of the shed. If you wish for the doors to be that way then you just need to make sure that the panels 104 and 105 which are marked at the top of the panel are on the opposite end of your choosing.

Currently building a base for this shed constructed out of 2x6 w/ joists 16" OC. It will then be placed on concrete blocks and leveled. Is this plywood necessary or will the included floor support lawnmower, snowblower, motorcycle and normal yard tools?

Asked by: PaulB
As long as the floor panels are fully supported by the foundation that it is being placed on then the floor panels should be able to support those items. If you place a heavier item on the floor panels and there is not a support underneath that area there is a chance the floor will sag.
