Description

Looking for an outdoor shed that requires very low maintenance? This 20 x 8 foot Lifetime Storage Shed is constructed of high-density, steel-reinforced double-walled polyethylene plastic which is UV protected against fading. No painting required to look as good as new for many years. Doesn't split or warp like wooden sheds, or dent and rust like metal sheds. Simulated wood shingled roof and wood-grain textured wall panels make a Lifetime outdoor storage shed an attractive addition to your backyard. Designed with all the features that you appreciate in an outdoor shed, as well as lots of shelving and organizational accessories to keep the shed contents organized and easy to find. Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Covered by a 10 yr. limited factory warranty in US and Canada.

Note:
  • Consult local building codes before assembly. Requirements vary from county to county
  • This model is not compatible with the Lifetime Snow Load Kit or Extreme Weather Kit.
  • This shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). Flooring must be anchored to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 8 hours.

For more information about assembly, read the Owner's Manual Sample and watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

    20 ft. x 8 ft. Shed is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Customer Service I bought a 12x8 Lifetime shed from another vendor. Unfortunately we didn't realize that a piece of that shed was damaged until it was nearly completed. We called the vendor who was extremely willing to exchange the product but we would have to take the entire shed down and send it back for an exchange. If you've ever put something like this together before, you know that this is not the easiest option. So I called Lifetime Sheds directly and got the greatest customer service from both Chuck and Bruce who helped me at different times. Without having any difficulty, they ensured that I'd have my part asap and instructed me on the best way to disassemble a portion of the shed to do so. Lifetime will be the shed company I recommend to all of my friends and neighbors!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just completed the installation. I just completed the installation of my Lifetime 8'x20' shed on a slightly larger elevated wooden platform. The shed arrived without the two notched roof truss bars for the center front of the shed. This prevented me from installing the front gable as it rests in the notches of the bars. I called customer support and explained my situation. They sent me two fins for a water board??? Somehow the replacement order got screwed-up. I again called and complained. They then sent me the correct bars which arrived in four days. The installation was not difficult but lengthy. Plan on having at least three men (four would be better) to install the roof skylight as it was the most difficult part of the installation. It takes at least two men to install the wall panels and doors. Be very careful installing the screws (they call them ADZ screws) throughout the installation as the receiving socket is easily stripped. This was especially true on the roof panels. I've got a number of stripped screw sockets I'll have to correct somehow - maybe Gorilla glue on the screw. The ADZ screws are a size 14 and I could not find a larger size. The windows panes for the front of the shed are plexiglass and easily installed. The problem is there is no screen option for the windows. Customer support had no solution for this. His response was "sorry about that". It gets real hot in the South. I'll have to devise some sort of screen for both windows to create some additional screened ventilation. There is a vent on each end of the shed but that is not enough. The instructions (each section is in English, French and Spanish) were sometimes not easy to follow. I appreciate that explaining the complexities of the installation is not easy, however they could be clearer especially as relates to the positioning and installation of the shed floor panels. Customer support should be more responsive, especially when responding to emails regarding issues and questions. A customer should not have to send a second email to get a response to the first email. Before I discovered the truss bar issues I had questions about the wall panels. I like the shed overall and I'm happy with my purchase. I think it is well engineered. We'll see how it holds up in the southern environment and the strong ultraviolet sun rays.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20/8 storage shed Great storage shed very happy with this product. I paid to have it assembled. I read other reviews and decided I didn't want to spend a day are so assembling the shed. It took the guy I hired a full day. The shed is very sturdy. Perfect for what I need it for storing the zero turn mower and other yard tools and ladders freeing up my garage for the cars only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well designed light weight structure This is a very well designed light weight structure. It's easy enough for a small lady to build. The roof, and main door gable were big challenges. I would have color codeed the tubing for the two doors since they were different. Instructions are complicated. Tool parts are labelled, if the little plastic bags could also note where they were designated, that would eliminate guessing in the process (i.e. roof parts, windows parts...etc).I had put some netting around my wood foundation to prevent uninvited critters.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Assembly instructions lacking While the shed looks great assembled it took a long time to get there. Much longer than their estmate and I am very mechanically inclined. The instructions were very unclear in places. Better diagrams would have been very helpful. A couple of the doors were labeled different from the instructions requiring a phone call to Lifetime. I do have to mention a phone call to customer service (thank you Bruce) for a few parts went very well. I ran into a corner panel with my camper and they had it a very reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprising great construction We are almost finished with the construction of our shed. Maybe you should offer a bucket of patience with the kit because we almost used up all of ours! It would have been helpful if all of the pieces and parts were properly labeled rather than having to guess when checking the parts against the inventory sheets. Overall it has "gone together" quite well and I can't wait to move my potting bench and yard implements into their new home.

    Asked by: Dave
Yes it is possible to install the doors off center on the long side of the shed. This model of shed already comes with snow load kits for the truss sections and the maximum snow load rating for this shed is 23 psf.
