Description

Why shouldn’t your outdoor storage shed be as stylish as your house? Lifetime storage sheds are a solution to your storage problems as well as a great backyard attraction. This storage shed comes with shelving units and peg strips so you can find what you need, when you need it. Keep your garden equipment organized and handy with attractive Lifetime outdoor storage sheds. The Lifetime 6405 shed is UV-protected from fading and cracking. The high-impact polyethylene floor is resistant to stains and solvents, so spills are easily cleaned up. Constructed from high-density polyethylene plastic with steel reinforcements, this Lifetime 6405 outdoor storage shed is built to weather the storms for many years. And you'll appreciate that it's low maintenance--No painting. No rusting! Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Covered by a 10 yr. limited factory warranty in US and Canada. Compatible with our 8 ft expansion kits.

Approved for Dade Co., FL. NOA 09-0728.08 if reinforced with the Lifetime Extreme Weather Kit accessory.

Consult local building codes before assembly. This outdoor storage shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). It is designed with a slight indentation in each corner of the floor so that you can drill through the flooring to secure it to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 6 hours. Watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

For more information about assembly of our storage sheds, read the Owner's Manual Sample.

8' x 10' Storage Shed (1 window) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Roof Collapsed Very disappointed. Didn't make the first winter and my sun cast shed did with a much shallower pitch than the lifetime

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable, spacious, economical, good looking shed We've had this shed for 7 years now.we live in northern VA, where weather can be searing hit and humid in summer, and under a lot of snow and ice in winter. This little shed withstood our all and still looks exactly the same as it did in day one.We were limited to this size by our hoa, so we had to make the most of it. That's where one star comes off: the original interior design include very little, narrow and not sturdy shelves. We ended up improving it with help from a handy friend who installed wood support along one of the longer walls, on which we hung many hooks to store a large number of tools off the floor, which allowed easy access to a Toro lawn mower with its bag, electric trimmer and edger all on one side. The opposite wall allowed installation of 2 study metal racks with wide shelves that provide ample space for yard maintenance supplies. Opposite the door, at the far end we placed a movable sturdy plastic tool holder for axes, attachments, tall tips etc. This configuration leaves enough waking space I the center, which can be used to store yard furniture and power washer in winter. We also fitted gutter along the side walks outside do we can capture rain water in 2 barrels. This shed is very useful, but it does not come equipped to utilize it to its potential. Setting it up is relatively simple (took my wife and i a full day), however setting a foundation was the hardest part: we set out on a frame of 6 by 4 wood posts (rated to be buried in the ground), leveled and filled up with pea gravel. This process tool us 3 days to prepare, with a lot of heavy lifting and back breaking work. The instructions for the shed isn't much help with this job, but it is critical to get it right. You know you got it right when the doors are installed and seeing open straight. It is a decent product but not easy to diy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed! We have had this shed did a few years now and haven't had any problems! Held up great through weather and use. Still seems brand new. Also, the guys who set it up were quick, accommodating and then Shed was put together without any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great shed Loved the rafters in it to hold more yard tools and extra supplies. We have had it for 10 years and it has worked perfectly. No warping or damage at all. It has been great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no paint required! I've had this shed for about 7 years, and it looks just as good as it did when I first got it. It has withstood the hot summers and cold, snowy winters of Utah, while keeping my stuff safe and dry.Assembly took some time, but was straightforward, with good instructions. The window and skylights let in plenty of light, and the double doors allow easy access to bikes, mowers, sleds, etc. The shelves are a great way to keep smaller items from getting buried.Only downside, is how quickly we've outgrown it. I need to invest in a second shed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great Waited until I had proper concrete base before erecting it. Found the corner walls difficult and I do think the design could be made more user friendly. The doors do not meet properly (too close) and there is no way to adjust them. Found it relatively easy to erect and I think the skylight is a great idea. I like the look and feel of the material for the roof and walls. Have bolted it down due to the winds we get in the Isle of Skye. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the doors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed Excellent shed, very durable, weather resistant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sturdy I bought this about a month ago and assembled it with my son. It took us about 8 hours. You definitely need 2 people to assemble it. It has been sitting on my concrete slab with still nothing in it. My front doors did not meet to close. I called the company and they said they would send two smaller channels for my doors and this will solve the problem. Almost 20 days have gone by and still no channels. Called again and they said they were on back-order. Forget the back-order/ send me the channels from somewhere. Other than this problem the shed looks very nice and seems it will last a long time. However, it may last longer than me since it is not in use and who knows how much longer I will have to wait for the channels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Durable Bought this shed 6+ years ago (model # then was 60018). It has weathered the very hot summers and windy autumns and winters with no issues at all. It is still always dry inside, and the doors operate perfectly. Can't recommend this shed highly enough.

Ask a Question

We purchased one of your 6405 sheds. We just wanted to know if it was alright to put in sheets of foam insulation. We live in Yuma, AZ and it sometimes is over ll0 degrees in the summer.

Asked by: Phyllis1
It should be just fine to insulate your shed.

I see a number of reviewers had problems with doors not meeting properly. Has this been addressed or is it likely related to base not being level.

Asked by: David
Any door issues regarding alignment can be due to the foundation that the shed is placed on. We do provide wooden shims and instructions at the end of the instruction manual regarding how to resolve any alignment issues. Also our customer service team can assist you with any questions/issues you may have regarding assembly. You can contact our customer service team at 800-225-3865.

I want to paint my wooden frame the same color as the door.  Can you provide me the paint color code of the door please?

Asked by: Bogoy
Our paint code is not something you will be able to use to match paint color. We would recommend taking one of the smaller parts to use as a color match.

What kind of anchoring system or kit do you recommend for anchoring this shed to a concrete slab?

Asked by: ldwfind
The simplest way to secure a shed to concrete is with concrete anchor bolts. Installing the bolts requires drilling holes through the shed's flooring and directly into the concrete with a hammer drill.
