Our 8 x 5 ft Lifetime storage buildings are designed to play a big role in a small space. We make organization easy by including shelving units and peg strips for your tools and supplies. With our Lifetime storage buildings, you can keep your tools and lawn equipment right at your fingertips, right where you need them—in the yard! Designed for style and durability, you’ll appreciate the no paint, no rust, low maintenance of this shed’s polyethylene plastic construction and steel reinforcements. With an attractive design and built to weather the storms, the 8 x 5 ft outdoor storage shed provides a place for everything so you can keep everything in its place. Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Covered by a 10 yr. limited factory warranty in US and Canada. Compatible with 8 ft shed expansion kits

Consult local building codes before assembly. This shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). It is designed with a slight indentation in each corner of the floor so that you can drill through the flooring to secure it to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 6 hours. Watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

For more information about assembly, read the Owner's Manual Sample.

Assembly & Manuals

8 ft. x 5 ft. Storage Shed (1 window) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Assembly of corner & wall segments I have an 8 x 5-ft shed. And it is a great shed / shop. The ONLY complaint I have was attempting to snap the corrner / wall segment tabs into the flooring slots. That was extremely difficult if not impossible. Simply pulling down on these segments to install corners / walls into the flooring did not work for me.I tried two methods that helped. The first was a heat gun to "soften" the tabs and slots. This method took some time for the tabs / slots to warm up.The best method was to place the corner / wall segments in-place on the flooring and spray the tabs / slots with WD-40. Bingo! ! !Also, to strenghten the flooring, I installed cement backer-board that made the flooring substantial. Now, no worry piercing the flooring. Also, I would suggest purchasing the shelving vertical bars to strengthing the side walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Shed Yesterday I put the shed together myself in about 10 hours. It would have been easier to have an extra pair of hands to help but as a previous reviewer mentioned, it can be done by one person, with patience and tenacity! I'm very impressed by the quality of the materials, as well as the engineering and design of the shed itself. I believe this shed should last a good long time. The only negative I can share relates to the graphics/sketches in the directions. At times, they were too small or unclear, making it difficult to identify some of the many, many parts, especially at the beginning. But, overall, the directions were clearly written and accurate. In the end, I believe you can't miss with this shed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Set Up Garden & SPA euipment I have been using this SHED for almost a year now. It has proven to be just what I needed for my backyard storage. I have a travel trailer, SPA, and Garden so it's perfect for storing all the associated chemicals and equipment, including a ladder, step stool and hoses. I put it together with the help of my 13 year old grandson and it took about 5 hours. I will say if you read the directions closely and don't try any shortcuts, it goes together quite nice. I placed it on a level platform of pavers, and anchored it with lag bolts. The operation of opening the door does kind of depend on the time of day and temperature, sometimes it opens without restriction and other time it takes a little effort. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, sturdy shed We have a small 66" section of space we thought we'd have to custom build. Thanks to Lifetime and their Awesome Black Friday sale we are already in business with a roomy 8x5' (perfect ) sized shed. It is so nice looking it matches the siding on the rest of the house! My husband and I built it on 2 separate occasions due to getting rained out. So we built all the doors, trusses & gables the first day. A few days later we had the whole thing up in about 2 hours. Everything fits snug and all parts were there. No damage to the panels. It all came in 2 large boxes on private shipping company truck. They worked with us for delivering at a convenient time. All in all, I love my new shed. Can't wait to get shopping for the accessories now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Shed for all my outdoor storage needs We put this shed up last summer and it looks just the same now as it did when it was new. All of our outdoor belongings including lawn tools are free from harm. I would recommend using two or more people for setup and using some sort of base. My husband started the setup alone and he became rather frustrated. As soon as I joined in the project was completed in no time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strike Plate on Left Door I assembled the shed this past weekend with minimal help. The instructions were good and the materials seem sturdy. My only issue is that the strike plate (DZG) on the left door jamb comes out too far and the latching mechanism on the right door doesn't clear the strike plate and therefore can't be closed without closing both doors at the same time...which in turn makes the deadbolts obsolete. Anyone else have this issue or am I just missing something? Thanks.

Ask a Question

Got the shed assembled but the doors don't stay closed unless something heavy is in front of it .Have the doors leveled and even at the top I use the latch but it wants to spring back open. I don't see how it will stay closed without something latching

Asked by: Wayne
The doors can be tricky if your base isn't completely level. We do have a few tricks to help with the doors. We have a great video on the Lifetime YouTube channel that can walk you through it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzvXdBXP8Vo. Check it out and then give us a call at 800-225-3865 if that doesn't work for you and we will see what we can do to help.

Need to dismantle to rebuild at another location. Other than reading installation instructions backwards do you have a recommended method of dismantling

Asked by: Aussie 15
Using the instruction manual in reverse order is going to be the easiest way to make sure that you disassemble the shed without damaging other parts.

Where can this shed be seen?

Asked by: Bobby Lou
It is all up to the stores in your area for what they decide to place as a display. We would not have a list of where a specific shed is being displayed. All of our sheds are built very similarly so you could always look at a different model that is on display to take a look at one of our sheds.
