from Super stable and has a huge payload I've had this boat for 3 years now. The only downside is the weight, but even that means it is not super thin and delicate. This is by far the most stable kayak I have ever been in. It also goes straight as an arrow in the water. Lots of people don't realize that in kayaking there can be a lot of wasted energy keeping the kayak going in the right direction. Not so with this one. We are a family of 5 and have all ridden on this kayak at the same time. It is over the recommended weight, but it did it with ease. We have fished off of it many times. It is stable and wonderful. We have recommended it to everyone. We have extended family who has bought them and love it.

from Workmenship My ordered Sport Fisher just arrived after close to 3-week S&H wait. I unwrapped it and found three defects - two if them would cause it to leak at the aft hatch and drain plug. The opening for the drain plug assembly had been cut about 20% too large and the edges showed around the housing. I don't understand how QA did not catch this. The aft deck at the storage hatch was pushed inward causing the edge of the hatch to bend at the rivet. Now I have to wait weeks to return it and have a new one shipped out. The season will be over and it will end up in basement until next year. Very disappointed.

from Best Kayak On The Market Researched about 7 brands of kayaks. Purchased this one last summer and hope to buy another for use by friends. I'm 65 and afraid of the water. Never thought I would get in a kayak. It is so stable and easy to handle you could use it like a paddle board. Tracks well and plenty of storage for fishing, etc. Well made with super tough material, comfortable seat/back rest and easy for me to transport and handle by myself. I use it almost every day June-August--canals, harbor and Albemarle Sound in NC. Lifetime backs their product. I definitely made the right choice. Very happy.

from Great all around Kayak! Very stable and tough! I love this kayak. I have fished from a 17' canoe and always felt uneasy and thought I was going to tip it over. I have never felt this with this little beast! Stable, sleek, large carrying capacity...what is not to love. Not a speed demon but stable like a tank. I would rather have the stability and capacity. Plenty of room for my gear and easy for me to handle (not a nightmare like the canoe was!) Love it all around! Hats off to Lifetime for this little gem!

from The Sport Fisher has a lot going for it This kayak has been in service since July of 2011 (4 years now) and has lots of miles on it now. No one kayak is perfect for everything, but this one has a lot going for it. I, and others, have been on it with another kayaker (tandem) and also solo. I really like that my butt stays dry on this kayak. I do not like the color though. The Manta (same design, but not rigged up for fishing) comes in a lime green and it stays cool even in the hot southern Florida sun, but this olive green kayak gets so hot you can not touch it. I hope Lifetime will make the Sport Fisher in a lime green, which is also one of the colors that is safer on the water because of it's visibility (the other two safest colors are yellow and orange).I (we) use this kayak in fresh water and salt water inside and out in the Atlantic Ocean for all kinds of fishing. It is even safe and fun to surf back to the beach (unlike my over $2000 kayak which is dangerous in the surf). It tracks surprisingly well for a 10 foot long kayak. It is not a fast kayak, but that is a small price to pay for the stability and the other features of this fishing kayak. The tri-form hull generally sacrifices a little speed, but adds a lot of stability (which is great for cross-over sports like fishing or diving). When we come up on some tailing Redfish on the flats and stop paddling, the kayak stops pretty quickly and quietly and we do not have to "back paddle" which scares the fish. I attach a "milk crate" to the kayak to carry gear and use a soft cooler to keep our fish fresh. The person in the photo I am sending along with this weighs over 300 pounds and is very comfortable on the Sport Fisher. I weigh 180 and I am very comfortable on it too.I have used this kayak for four years now and there are no other kayaks in the price range that fish anywhere as well as the Lifetime Sport Fisher and I expect to use this kayak for at least another 4 years.

from Seat is comfortable, dry boxes are a joke Ordered through another vendor for my husband... the kayak seat is comfortable. HOWEVER, the dry storage "compartments" (Two 6" Storage Compartments in Rear and Center) is a joke! There are two 6" round lids that open into the ENTIRE hull of the kayak! There is not 2 "compartments". Therefore, if you throw your keys & phone into the "compartment" between your legs, it will slide from the front of the kayak to the rear & getting your stuff out is nearly impossible. Horrible engineering flaw.

from Safe with active children on it I bought the kayak 3 summers ago. Very happy with it. I did few motifications by adding the troller motor and deep cycle battery. Love it and plan to make another purchase soon.

from Best bang for your buck!! I bought this kayak last weekend and have had it in the water multiple times. This kayak is very stable, first day out was on rougher waters, and even though I haven't been in one in years, I had no issues. You can lean side to side without feeling like you're going to dump it. The only downside, as mentioned above, is the storage space that allows gear to go everywhere, so plan accordingly. I'm looking to install some sort of cargo netting inside to help control this. I was skeptical buying this being a bigger guy, 6' and 255lbs on a good day, however this thing handles me and my 3 year old with no issues. I highly recommend this kayak for anyone curious about fishing off of one. For the price, this can't be beat.

I would like cat bags for my kayak because when you put something in the storage compartment, it slides around and you can not get to it. Do you sell cat bags to fit or is there another product that will fit?
We do not have any cat bags that will fit this model of kayak.

Which brand of depth finders will fit the scupper holes on the Muskie Angler 10ft?
Example - If you have an Old Town kayak you should use Humminbird . Hobie and Wilderness Systems have made their boats ready to use with Lowrance
This is something that we have not tested with our kayaks so we would not be able to provide any recommendations.

Is this the same kayak as the Tamerack 120 Angler? If so, is one an older model. If not what are the differences?
Yes this model is the same as the Tamarack Angler.

Could I use or turn one of the storage compartments into a livewell
The storage compartments on our kayaks go into the hull of the kayak which is not sectioned off at all. With that you would end up filling the entire hull of the kayak if you tried to turn a storage hatch into a livewell.
