SHOW US YOUR (FUNDRAISING) SPIRIT

Does your church boast the best festival in town? Is your synagogue’s talent show a guaranteed sell-out? Has your house of worship been dubbed the “Home of the Best Pancake Breakfast”? If your religious organization’s recent fundraiser has turned heads and helped produce vital funding, Lifetime Products wants to hear from you.

Lifetime Products – the world’s leading manufacturer of folding tables and chairs, which are often used when conducting fundraisers – will reward seven religious organizations with Spirited Fundraiser Grants for their creative approaches to collecting funds.  Beginning July 10, 2009, employees of not-for-profit religious organizations across the country are invited to submit their best and/or most unique fundraising tactics for a chance at a prize-pack that is sure to be useful for future fundraisers: a $1,000 check, plus four six-foot banquet tables and 16 folding chairs from Lifetime Products.  Applicants should submit a short (300 word maximum) essay containing:

  • A description of his/her organization’s best and/or unique fundraising tactic
  • The time period and date of said fundraiser
  • The original monetary goal for the fundraiser, how much money was raised, what the funds were used for, and
  • Why the applicant believes the fundraiser was a success.
  • Entrants are also encouraged to submit up to five photos of the fundraiser described in their essay.

Entries can be submitted via one of three methods:

An independent judge will evaluate entries based on the creativity and/or uniqueness of the fundraiser, the success of the fundraiser in helping meet the organization’s financial goals, and whether the essay addresses all four of the aforementioned points. All entries must be submitted no later than October 30, 2009.
