Ed VanNimwegen of North Ogden – Ed has contributed to a variety of products and patents during his 17 years as an engineer at Lifetime, but his greatest contributions have been in plastics.
Basketball
Lifetime Products was founded in 1986, in Ogden Utah, with the introduction of the first complete basketball system that could be adjusted in seconds. Later, Lifetime transformed the sporting goods industry when it patented the first portable basketball system packaged entirely in one box for easy mass distribution and retail. With products sold in more than 52 countries, Lifetime is now headquartered in Clearfield, and is the world leader in residential basketball hoops.
Wes Guy of Hooper – Wes has been with Lifetime for 13 years in the production department and is currently the Production Support Manager.
Picnic Tables
After breakthrough innovations in home basketball systems, Lifetime applied their metals and plastics expertise to introduce another new product in 1995 – a blow-molded picnic table designed to fold flat. The folding picnic table hit the market and was an instant success. Lifetime continues to make a variety of folding tables for both indoor and outdoor use that are strong enough to meet commercial standards, yet lightweight enough for residential use. Headquartered in Clearfield Utah, Lifetime is now the world leader in blow-molded folding tables.
Neil Watson of Layton – Neil began his 12 years at Lifetime working in testing and has moved to Research & Development for the lawn and garden category.
Sheds
Lifetime Products was founded in 1986, Ogden Utah, and quickly became the world leader in residential basketball systems and folding tables and chairs. In 2005, Lifetime used its metals and plastics expertise to introduce a line of revolutionary outdoor storage sheds. They were the first blow-molded polyethylene sheds with steel reinforcements inside the wall panels, making them both durable and easy to assemble. Lifetime Products, headquartered in Clearfield, Utah, manufactures its sheds in numerous sizes and continues to innovate a wide variety of other heavy duty, low-maintenance products for lawn and garden use.
Maly Phongsavath of Layton – Maly has been with for Lifetime for 23 years, working for sub-assembly for 20 of those years and is currently in packaging.
Folding Tables
Lifetime Products was founded in 1986, in Ogden Utah, as the maker of residential basketball systems. In 1995, Lifetime used its metal and plastic expertise to introduce another line of products– blow-molded, polyethylene tables. Starting with a revolutionary blow-molded picnic table, Lifetime went on to develop a banquet table superior to wood and metal tables – the first blow molded tabletop. Now headquartered in Clearfield, Utah Lifetime Products is the world leader in blow-molded polyethylene folding tables and continues to make a variety of strong, durable products.

Shanda Miller of Roy – Shanda works in the metals department as a supervisor in re-cutting and has been with Lifetime for 7 years.
Playground
Lifetime Products started in 1973 as a playground equipment company called American Playworld. The founder later formed Lifetime Products to focus on manufacturing basketball systems. Headquartered in Clearfield, Utah, Lifetime still manufactures basketball systems as well as a wide variety of other metal and plastic products. Most recently, Lifetime reached back to its humble beginnings and is once again creating durable playsets designed to bring the playground to your backyard.
