CLEARFIELD, UTAH (February 20, 2007) – Lifetime Products, Inc. has been named the Sam’s Club Mexico Supplier of the Year for 2006. The award was accepted by Lifetime’s Sam’s Club Mexico sales team of Brett Horstman, Tanner Nancollas and Sinahi Lopez at the Sam’s Mexico Club Year Beginning meeting in Mexico City.

“It was very satisfying to be in Mexico and see Brett, Tanner and Sinahi receive the Sam’s Club Mexico Supplier of the Year award,” said Vince Rhoton, Lifetime’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our annual volume increases certainly made a big impression, but the passionate approach to making sure we were in-stock and had all the logistics bases covered really showed what a great team we have in Mexico.”

Lifetime, headquartered in Clearfield, Utah, employs about 1,700 employees in Utah and over 2,200 worldwide. Lifetime provides a wide array of lifestyle products to Sam’s Club Mexico, including its highly successful line of tables and chairs, as well as basketball systems and outdoor storage sheds.

Productos Vitalicios, Lifetime’s Mexican corporation, was incorporated in Monterrey in 2004 and has seen amazing growth since its inception. Total sales for the account have increased by leaps and bounds since the first year. An increase of 41% came in 2005, and the Productos Vitalicios team nearly topped that in 2006 with a 39% increase. “We believe that our tremendous success in Mexico is due to the openness of the lines of communication and the willingness of both companies to learn about each other and work together,” Horstmann said.

Over one-half of a million products were shipped to Sam’s Mexico in 2006, and it took a strong relationship with the Sam’s Mexico buyers for Lifetime to capture this coveted honor. There are currently 11,400 suppliers that sell to Wal-Mart of Mexico, the parent company of Sam’s Club Mexico.

“The Sam’s buyers aggressively pushed all the right buttons to make our offering the best value in the country,” Rhoton said. “I’m really proud of our efforts in this huge market.”

Lifetime Products, Inc., has applied innovation and cutting-edge technology in plastics and metals to create a family of affordable lifestyle products that feature superior strength and durability. The world’s leading manufacturer of folding tables and chairs, Lifetime was founded in 1986 as the maker of portable basketball systems that revolutionized the industry with patented technology. The drive was the result of Lifetime challenging their employees to “Fill the Shed” during the month of August.

Lifetime had hoped to take the largest storage shed they manufacturer and fill it with food over a two week period in August. After the first day of the drive, the challenge quickly changed to “how many sheds can we fill.”

“Several employees throughout the company donated 200 or more pounds of food themselves,” said Denise Wandling, Lifetime’s Director of Human Resources. “Most of these individuals were production line employees and one employee in our fabrication division donated 400 pounds of food by herself.”

The food drive will benefit not only The Utah Food Bank, but also many Northern Utah support agencies. Catholic Community Services, the Family Connection Center, Ogden Area Community Action, The Salvation Army and God’s Pantry will all be receiving pallets of food collected by Lifetime.

Each organization will be picking up their pallets on Monday, August 28th between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Freeport Center, Bldg. D-7 in Clearfield. Richard Hendrickson, Lifetime’s president, will be manning the forklift that will be loading the food on each truck.

In addition to having employees bring food, money was collected by a variety of methods and used to buy additional items. Lifetime managers and supervisors went into Dan’s Food, Macey’s and Albertsons and negotiated lower prices on cases of food. Employees were given incentives to donate, and the drive was also turned into a competition among the different areas of Lifetime – each group responded.

“As a company, we funded a contest to help encourage donations,” said Hendrickson. “Our great employees came back to us and requested that the company give the money that would be spent to Sub for Santa. This goes to show you that the success of this food drive comes from our employee’s hearts.”

Lifetime Products, Inc. has applied innovation and cutting-edge technology to create a family of affordable lifestyle products that feature superior strength and durability. The garage can be an amazing resource for the home but a messy garage will do nothing but frustrate, and it can even be dangerous. Give some of these garage organization tips a try and you and your car just might like the results.

Set a time for you and your family to tackle the mess of the garage together. Everyone in the home has some level of attachment to the items in there, so make it a group activity. If you are having a hard time getting the gang motivated, set a date in the local paper for a garage sale; nothing lights the fire of motivation more than a publicized deadline. Start by sorting through everything in the garage. Decide what you want to keep and place those items in one area of the yard. Create a separate area for things that still work but you don’t need anymore (those can be sold), and have a big trash bin for things that can’t be sold or donated.

Now that things are sorted, go through the “for sale” pile. Have the kids place stickers on personal items they’re selling and allow them to keep the money they earn. Whatever doesn’t sell during the garage sale can be donated to charity. Be sure to think outside the box with regard to donations. If you have extra paint or lumber that is in good shape, it can be donated it to a local community theater. Donations help our neighbors and offer tax deductions when given to non-profit agencies…it also just feels good to give.

3.Sort everything in the “keep” pile by its use. Create small piles of garden tools, sporting equipment, toys, holiday decorations, etc. You can even go so far as to sort those categories in to smaller piles (e.g. organize sporting equipment by specific sport). This will help you to become aware of the importance of each group of items and will ultimately help determine where they should go in the garage.

At this stage of the game (and not before), go out and buy the organizational tools that will best suit your needs. People often make the mistake of doing this first, which tends to result in money being wasted on unnecessary items. When purchasing hardware, remember to get lots of hooks so you can take advantage of the walls of your garage. Use them to hang garden tools, bikes, sports equipment, etc. With so many sizes and styles of hooks available, feel free to hang everything! Also don’t forget helpful things like pegboards, jars, cabinetry, etc.

5.On another wall, install shelving. This can be anything from actual bookcases to repurposed kitchen cabinets from a salvage yard or a recent remodel. Just be sure to have an area with doors so that certain items can be kept out of view and out of touch. Items stored in the garage can be heavy so anchor the storage unit well to avoid accidents. Remember to keep the heavier items on lower shelves and anything dangerous to children on a high-shelf or behind locked doors.

You’ve probably been storing some large, valuable items in the garage. Lawnmowers, power tools, snow blowers, and yard equipment are not only large investments that should be kept safe, but they can also be dangerous. If your garage is not locked properly you can easily have these big-ticket items stolen. In addition to the risk of theft, these items also need to be kept away from children’s curious fingers. Solve all of these concerns by placing these items in a separate structure like a Hillcrest Shed from Lifetime Products. This shed is not only extremely secure, but it will provide protection from the elements such as wind, rain and the sun. The best part is that moving these large items to a more appropriate place frees up lots of room for your car!

Before reloading the garage, thoroughly sweep and clean the floor. You can get rid of old oil stains with some cleaner and elbow grease. Once the floor is in good shape, either finish the concrete with an epoxy coating to make it durable, easy to clean, and stain resistant or apply appropriate flooring like rubber matting or garage floor tiles.

Now it’s time to put everything you’re keeping back in the garage. Organize everything in order of use and start to fill up your new shelving, hooks, and cabinetry. Place toys and sporting items in one area that is away from dangerous items and at a level where the smallest members of the family can grab them easily. Utilize your hooks and brackets to keep garden tools in one area and use small drawers or jars for nails, screws, and other small building materials. Keep your hand tools easily accessible on a pegboard above a work surface. Store your unused pots and planters upside down and on top of each other to make the best use of your space. Seasonal items not currently being used should be in an out-of-reach area and rotated into a more accessible area as the appropriate season comes around.

Remember to store all flammable items like spray paints, wood stains, and cleansers in a flameproof cabinet. I know it seems like overkill, but in case of emergency this will prove invaluable. When storing spare paint, pour a bit of each color into a small clear container and label it with the location of the larger container along with the color’s mix information. If you don’t want to hold onto the paint, call your local recycling department to find out how to properly dispose of it. You can easily dry out the left over paint in a can by filling it with kitty litter. It will absorb all the extra paint and make for a safe disposal.

Finally, keep up the good work. Schedule a weekend at least once a year to keep things in tiptop shape. Maintenance is always easier than the first major cleanup, so the hardest part is over!

Leslie Segrete is a true renaissance woman. It is important for her to show everyone that the home arts are for all people. She wants people to know that designing, building, sewing, crafting and creating are not as scary as they might think. All it takes is the courage to try and not to be afraid to make mistakes. This holds true for all of the arts Segrete expresses herself in. This is not generally covered by the warranty, and is very costly to repair. Shatter Guard™ backboards will almost entirely solve these types of problems.”

Each Shatter Guard™ backboard features a sturdy, powder-coated steel frame that provides added rigidity for advanced performance and a pro-glass look. The instructions warned against this because the over-tightening would indent the pole, causing damage to the pole which led the bolt to protrude past the end of the bolt.”

“Our in-house product tests showed that our basketball systems passed all ASTM standards and there was no protruding danger when properly assembled. The ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) provides international safety standards for our industry – specifically the manufacture, assembly, recommended maintenance and use of complete residential basketball systems.”

“We provided our ASTM testing information to CPSC in March 2000, we got no response from CPSC in regards to our testing results.”

“In June 2000, we added cap nuts to the system to protect the end of the bolt IN CASE the customers disregarded our instructions (which passed ASTM Standards) and over-tightened the bolt.”

“The CPSC did not require a recall until nearly two years after we had added the cap nuts to the system.”

“We maintain that the bolt, when assembled correctly, does not protrude and was not defective.”

For more information on Lifetime or its products, contact Communications Manager Phil Mickey at (801) 776-1532 ex. 1239 or e-mail pmickey@lifetime.com.

LIFETIME INTRODUCES THE FUTURE OF BASKETBALL PLAY

Reactor Rebound™ System with Power Shock™ Rim is the Newest System in a Long Line of Innovations from Lifetime Products

CLEARFIELD, UTAH (January 9, 2004) – Lifetime Products Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of residential basketball systems, has once again revolutionized the game of basketball with a whole new system! Now you can experience the new generation of basketball play with the Acrylic Fusion™ Backboard with the Reactor Rebound™ system featuring the Power Shock™ Rim!

The new Acrylic Fusion™ Backboard with the Reactor Rebound™ system is designed for improved rebound play. The backboard integrates an acrylic playing surface with a high-impact polyethylene frame. The frame houses the state-of-the-art Reactor Rebound™ system which features equalizing weights for optimum rebound performance.

“The Acrylic Fusion backboards are an advance from more traditional steel frame backboards in that they have a more appealing design, have a molded-in frame pad which is not susceptible to corrosion, and they are more affordable,” said Aaron Hill, Director of Marketing for Lifetime Products. “Add the Reactor Rebound system and you get the best of both worlds – all the advantages of the Acrylic Fusion backboard and the great play of a steel-framed backboard.”

The Power Shock™ rim completes the system, providing a stylish new look and increased performance. This shock-absorbing rim features an advanced pivot point with a rear-mounted compression springs in a futuristic design. The 5/8-inch solid-steel ring is supported by a sturdy, wraparound brace. The Power Shock™ Rim is built for extreme play with welded steel net hooks and an all-weather nylon net.

“There has been very little innovation in rims in the past ten years,” said Hill. “Lifetime wanted to break the mold of the traditional styled rims and design something more progressive and exciting. The rear mounted spring gives you enhanced performance, and provides a smooth flex action with improved travel. There is really nothing like it in basketball.”

The new system with the Acrylic Fusion™ Backboard with Reactor Rebound™ and Power Shock™ Rim is currently available at fine sporting goods retailers and is moderately priced under $400. Laycock, lead litigation counsel for Lifetime.

Lifetime recently filed claims in the United States District Court for the Central District of California against Alton Industries, Inc. and its supplier Maxchief Investments, Limited for infringement of Lifetime’s recently issued United States Patent No. 6,431,092. On February 19, 2003, the Court entered an Order granting summary judgment in favor of Lifetime finding that the Maxchief accused blow-molded tables distributed by Alton infringe multiple claims of Lifetime’s patent.

In making its ruling, the court determined as a matter of law that when the claims asserted by Lifetime are properly interpreted, no reasonable jury could be persuaded by the defendants’ arguments that their products do not infringe. Lifetime intends to continue its vigorous pursuit of all available remedies against Alton, Maxchief, and all other unauthorized infringers of Lifetime’s valuable intellectual property assets. The law firm of Workman, Nydegger, and Seeley is representing Lifetime.

In 1998, Lifetime introduced the first blow-molded polyethylene folding utility table to the market. Blow-molded polyethylene tabletops are stronger, lighter, and more durable than wood, and are stain resistant. Today, Lifetime is the world’s largest manufacturer of these blow-molded, polyethylene, folding tables and holds a portfolio of patents protecting these products.

Established in 1986, Lifetime Products is a privately held company headquartered in Clearfield, Utah. Lifetime Products manufactures high-impact polyethylene folding tables, chairs and picnic tables, as well as state-of-the-art basketball equipment.

For more information on Lifetime, or its ongoing patent enforcement campaign, contact Communications Manager Jan Claborn at (801) 776-1532 ext. 1239, or e-mail jclaborn@lifetime.com.

A LIFETIME OF ENTERTAINING WITH ENTERTAINING EXPERT DEBORAH FABRICANT

CLEARFIELD, UT (November 19, 2002) -- Entertaining for large groups, be it family affairs or for friends, can be stressful. The logistics alone might be daunting. Given the opportunity to have a hypothetical “Dinner of a Lifetime” with anyone they wanted, 29% of Americans overlooked celebrities and political figures in favor of their own family members, especially deceased grandparents and long-distance relatives. Another popular choice (22%) was to share Thanksgiving with a historical figure, with Jesus Christ and Abraham Lincoln being the most requested, while 13% of Americans would choose to have a celebrity such as George Clooney or Jennifer Aniston at their table. Of the remaining categories, Rudy Guiliani and Ozzy Osbourne were the most popular choices.

The results were cultivated from a nationwide “Dinner of a Lifetime” essay contest sponsored by Lifetime Products, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of plastic folding tables and chairs. Thanksgiving is traditionally a time when people come together to share a special meal and with this in mind, Lifetime® posed the question: Who would you most like to sit next to at the Thanksgiving dinner table? Contestants composed essays describing a meal with the guest of their choosing, and the essays were evaluated based on originality, creativity, and reasoning.
Kevin Burk of Sioux City, IA is the Grand Prize winner and will receive a trip for four to New
York City over Thanksgiving weekend. Burk described what it would be like to have Thanksgiving
dinner with himself at the age of seven. During their meal, the grown-up Kevin would impart wisdom and worldly advice to little Kevin, as well as encourage him to take the risks that would ultimately lead him to find his future wife.

Ten runners-up received a Lifetime® table and a set of Lifetime® chairs. In alphabetical order, they are Sherri Brinkley of Bonne Terre, MO, who wanted to have dinner with her recently deceased mother, Dave Francis of Edmond, OK (Bill Cosby), Lisa Johnson of Pleasant Grove, UT (her great-grandparents who immigrated to America from the Ukraine), Brenda Jones of Gresham, OR (Benjamin Franklin), Clinton Kelly of Everett, WA (a former neighbor), Barbara LeGrand of LaGrangeville, NY (Abraham Lincoln), Marcy McCabe of Lawrence, KS (her hypothetical future daughter), 13-year-old Kelsey McCallum of Draper, UT (her mom at age 13), Julie Price of Salt Lake City, UT (Dr. Seuss), and L. Sue Schinke of Rochester, MN (her long-lost birthmother).

Thanksgiving is a time when there are always extra faces around the dinner table – and most people, at one time or another, have shared this meal at a spare folding table. Lifetime® products are sturdy, lightweight, and will not crack, chip or peel. Best of all, they are stain resistant and easy to clean – neither turkey gravy nor cranberry sauce will stain Lifetime® tables or chairs.

Established in 1986, Lifetime Products, Inc. is a privately held company in Clearfield, Utah. That is, until Lifetime Products, Inc. declared him the Grand Prize winner of its nationwide “Dinner of a Lifetime” essay contest. Now this Sioux City computer technical support specialist will be spending Thanksgiving 1,300 miles away from his hometown – and his family could not be more excited!

Burk along with his wife Mary and 15-year-old daughter Katrina will be traveling to New York City for Thanksgiving weekend and staying in a Times Square hotel suite courtesy of Lifetime®. And as part of the Burks’ family trip to the Big Apple they will get to see the Thanksgiving Day parade live for the first time. When Burk found out he won the “Dinner of a Lifetime” contest he said, “This was one of the most creative contests I’ve ever seen. The theme was great. I had a wonderful time writing about it!”

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time when people come together to share a special meal. With this in mind, Lifetime Products, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of plastic folding tables and chairs, posed the question: Who would you most like to sit next to at the Thanksgiving dinner table? Burk took the Grand Prize for his clever idea to have Thanksgiving dinner with himself at the age of seven. During their meal, the grown-up Kevin would impart wisdom and worldly advice to little Kevin, as well as encourage him to take the risks that would ultimately lead him to find his future wife. Ten creative runners-up will receive a Lifetime® table and a set of Lifetime® chairs. Their essays described a wide variety of dinner guests, ranging from fearless immigrant grandparents to the wacky Dr. Seuss.

Essays for the contest were received from all over the country, including one from Puerto Rico.
