Spring is in the air?at least here in Utah. The neighborhood is slowly coming back to life as kids and their parents are reemerging from their indoor hibernation. Time to find the bicycle pump and rollerblade knee pads because, at last, the kids can go outside and play!
With the comeback of Spring also comes a greater need for drivers to be aware of the little ones out and about. To this end, Lifetime is introducing a new product this season, the Child Alert sign.
This unique sign is shaped like a small child chasing after a soccer ball. “Chucky,” as we affectionately refer to him, is bright construction orange and carries a sign that says “slow.” His base is made similar to the portable bases that Lifetime made famous with our basketball systems, and can be filled with water or sand for even more stability.
If you’re like me, seeing unaware drivers race down your street makes you want to shout something you wouldn’t want your kids to hear! I think most drivers aren’t aware they are going too fast. Putting a “Chucky” out on the curb seems to help, and is much more polite than what you would have said!
I for one am glad to see the leaves emerging and the kids outside once again.
