Look out the window, spring is here… time to get digging, planting, transplanting, and hauling… wait, hauling? Yup, you’re going to have to move all that compost, all those pavers and blocks, potted shrubs, soil, bags of fertilizer, mountains of mulch… the list goes on and on, but it all needs to be done, and let’s face it, packing it my hand just isn’t a viable option!
That’s where wheelbarrows come in to play. Sometimes called a “garden cart” or “garden wagon”, a wheelbarrow fills a much needed role in any backyard or landscaping project.
Wheelbarrows help carry more per load, and help carry even very heavy items. But that’s where traditional wheelbarrows fall short. Traditional wheelbarrows typically have one wheel at the front of the basket, leaving you to life the weight of the load on the pivot point of the wheel. Sure, it’s easier than hefting the load on your back, but there’s got to be a better way!
