Over the past year, we've shared with you information and videos about our new Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Walking Cane - and even about awards the cane has won. I am thrilled to tell you that because of the success with our cane, Lifetime has decided to launch an entire line of home safety accessories!  Right now on our website, you'll find the Tru-Motion™ Walking Cane in our "Other Innovations" category. But, very soon, you'll see another new product category added on our website called "Health and Wellness" which will be the new home for the cane and our upcoming new home safety accessories like bath and towel safety grab bars.

We plan to develop a complete line of products to help the baby boomer generation stay active and live in their homes as long as possible.  So, what will make our products different from other safety accessories already on the market?  You know Lifetime.  We pride ourselves on innovative products and this line of Health and Wellness products is no different.  Our products will be built for safety, but will be designed with an attractive decorative look that camouflages the fact that they are safety accessories.  No more clunky eye sores.  Our products will actually complement a home and look like other trendy home accessories, but they will provide needed security and independence for residential users.  Another difference? Unlike most home safety accessories, our new products will be available (like all of our products) through mainstream consumer retail locations for easy access, rather than through only medical suppliers.

As part of our decision to create a Health and Wellness category, Lifetime acquired the assets of LiveWell Home Safety Solutions, LLC earlier this year. The acquisition of the Ohio-based designer of home safety accessories also included a patent application and all registered trademarks.  We will continue with LiveWell's current product offerings, and add more many complementary products.

We are excited about this new venture and we hope you will be excited when you see them, too.  Look for a full line for Health and Wellness products to be available under both the LiveWell and Lifetime brands in early 2012 at home improvement stores nationwide and in the Lifetime Store online.  In the meantime, keep checking back because we'll be sure to introduce you to our new Health and Wellness products here on this blog as soon as we are ready to unveil them for a sneak peek
