The coolest thing about working at Lifetime Products is our dedication to innovate and make stuff that just doesn't exist yet. Our newest basketball system  - the Power Flex System - is my favorite system that we make because of just that.  In an industry that is saturated with competition, we were able to come up with an in-ground basketball system that is unique in many ways.

First, we started with the height adjustment mechanism. Our engineers were able to patent new technology with a gas-assist, triggerless handle adjustment called the Power Lift® XL Height Adjust.  This new Power Lift XL is similar to our existing Power Lift® mechanism that Lifetime invented in 1996  - which was the first pneumatic height adjustment mechanism for basketball hoops.  However, our new Power Lift® XL  has larger handle to help make raising and lowering even easier. Just push up or pull down on the ergonomic handle to adjust the rim height within a range of infinite height possibilities between 7.5’ and 10’. It might not seem like much but simple adjust on a basketball system is becoming a must have with our customers.

The second thing we looked at is how the basketball system flexes. Traditional systems break away at the rim leaving the system itself very stiff. We wanted to look at a different way to break away. So we invented the Power Flex™ Rim  that has a patented Heavy Duty Power Flex Compression Spring.  The spring absorbs the full shock of even the most aggressive dunk and allows the entire upper end (backboard and rim) of the system to flex under the force of the dunk creating a surging euphoric feeling of dominating power and performance in the user… it is also easier on the joints.
 
This in-ground basketball system is fun to play on especially when you lower it down and dunk like a pro. It has a great 54" tempered glass Clearview backboard which eliminates the backboard braces to create a clear target and increase rebound stability.
