We love getting feedback from our customers. We have had all kinds of interesting topics sent in to us. This one was no exception. Although we can’t officially promote use of our products for anything other than their intended use, I thought this one was pretty clever.

Stan wrote in telling us how much he loves his Lifetime Outdoor Storage Box. Stan likes to cook meat using a smoker and needed a place to store his smoker on his deck and protect it from the elements. He devised a cleaver way to do this with his Lifetime Storage Box. First, he secured the box standing on one end. Then, he built a sliding shelf in it. Now, whenever he wants to smoke his meat he opens the “door” of the box and slides out the shelf. Voila, the smoker is ready to go. When he is done with it, and the smoker has cooled, he slides it back into the box shuts the door. His smoker is out of sight and protected from the elements.

Again, we don’t officially sanction this type of use of our product, but think this was certainly a pretty clever idea.

The Lifetime Outdoor Storage Box is a great product. I use mine as a giant toy box big enough to hold even the bigger toys. My parents use theirs to store pool supplies, and have installed boards to divide it into compartments for pool toys, too.
