Money PIt.jpgA few weeks ago, I traveled down to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the National Hardware Show. This show is a annual exhibit of manufacturers of Lawn and Garden products, as well as other miscellaneous products. Of course, I was most interested in the array of Lawn and Garden products. I felt a little guilty being there, as I was technically there for work but secretly looking around for myself. There are so many new and innovative products coming out for the yard. Fortunately, I flew down there so I didn't have room in my suitcase to buy anything and bring it back. I don't typically use this word, but "giddy" is a good description about how seeing all of these products made me feel about Spring starting and all the gardening I am soon going to be able to do!

Lifetime had a large booth at the show, displaying our awesome Lawn and Garden products. We displayed our new 8'x10' shed, Dual Composter, Kids Oval Picnic Table, as well as other products. Can I just say, I love being in this category of products? I am able to combine my love of gardening with representing and helping to influence bringing great products to market.

Another reason for attending the show was to do another radio interview. (I keep telling our PR person that I am willing to do television, but she insists that radio is a better venue for me. Should I take offense?)  This radio interview was with The Money Pit, a nationally syndicated home improvement show. Leslie Segrete and  Tom Kraeutler are the hosts of the show. Funny story about the last time I interviewed with these two. I was headed down to a work conference on a bus of about 80 people. The only time the interview could be done was during the drive. So, in the middle of nowhere Utah, I had to have the bus pull over so I could do the interview from a truck stop pay phone. Needless to say, the interview in Vegas was a lot more comfortable.

Based on this year's Hardware Show, we have an exciting couple of seasons of new Lawn and Garden products coming to market. Fortunately, this time what happened in Vegas is not staying there but will be hitting store shelves nationwide soon.
