wheelbarrow Anyone who’s done their share of yard work or gardening knows that short of a good, sharp shovel, nothing beats a good, strong wheel barrow.

According to Wikipedia, wheelbarrows are “a small hand-propelled vehicle, usually with just one wheel, designed to be pushed and guided by a single person using two handles to the rear … . It is designed to distribute the weight of its load between the wheel and the operator so enabling the convenient carriage of heavier and bulkier loads than would be possible were the weight carried entirely by the operator.”

The old design had one wheel up-front and an awkward “dump pivot” – both of which made the old models prone to tipping.

Lifetime Products thought you’d suffered with the old kind of wheelbarrows long enough and set about revolutionizing the way you do yard work.

Lifetime’s wheelbarrows feature a heavy-duty 6.5 cubic-foot tub made from 100% post-consumer recycled material, a load capacity of 550 pounds, and a rust-resistant powder-coated metal frame. Add to that a two-wheel frame that’s less likely to tip, and a “dump pivot” that is closer to where you want to dump your load, and it’s a good start. But Lifetime didn’t stop there, they widened the wheel-base and lowered the center of gravity, making pushing easier and all but eliminates tipping.
