It’s that time of year again for a lot of us. Time to store that kayak away for the cold cold winter. We are often asked about how to store a kayak while it is not being used, especially during the chilly winter months. So today, I am here to offer up some winter kayak advice! First piece of advice, kayaks are not for sledding! They go fast but they don’t like the cold, so keep them off of the snow! Ok, now for the real tips. As always, make sure you wash your kayak after use. This is especially important when you will be putting it into storage for several months. We love getting feedback from our customers. We have had all kinds of interesting topics sent in to us. This one was no exception. Although we can’t officially promote use of our products for anything other than their intended use, I thought this one was pretty clever. Stan wrote in telling us how much he loves his Lifetime Outdoor Storage Box. Stan likes to cook meat using a smoker and needed a place to store his smoker on his deck and protect it from the elements. He devised a cleaver way to do this with his Lifetime Storage Box. First, he secured the box standing on one end. Then, he built a sliding shelf in it. Now, whenever he wants to smoke his meat he opens the “door” of the box and slides out the shelf. Voila, the smoker is ready to go.
This past Sunday afternoon I was able to skip out of church a little early to do a radio interview with our friends at 96.5 FM in Florida. Ken and Jared, father and son, do a weekly home improvement show called "In the House" where they invite “experts” in various categories to come talk about products to improve your home.
