What Are Those Fancy Bar Codes?

Bar codes help make life easier from manufacturing all the way through the supply chain, and up to the check-out register. While you're shopping for products, you can look for better deals and more information by scanning traditional UPCs with your phone, an app, and an internet connection. Pretty cool, right? Something new that you may have seen cropping up on billboards, articles, advertisements, and even product displays and packaging is a new kind of bar code, a 2D barcode.  These new 2D barcodes are also called a QR code which is short for quick response. UPCs are a 1D (one-dimensional) type of bar code. Traditionally, a laser is used to illuminate a thin stripe across the barcode. A 2D barcode contains multiple lines of information and require multiple lasers to read. Since

Lifetime's Annual Service Project 2010- Park Beautification

This past Saturday, October 9, Lifetime Products employees met at Clearfield City’s Steed Park for Lifetime’s 5th Annual Local Community Service Project. What a sight! More than 800 employees were busy laying sod, trimming trees, leveling baseball diamonds, picking up trash, and much more, to beautify and improve the 23-acre Steed Park for local residents.   It was a great experience working together outside of our normal everyday jobs to do something to give back and help improve our local community.  It was also a true team effort.  Everyone pitched in to help in some way or another... even Lifetime President Richard Hendrickson was busy trimming trees by the pond.  Me?  I rolled up my sleeves to help stain the pavilion which was a little messy, but fun nonetheless. Roll It... Lifetime Fold-Up Utility Trailer Video

Sigh. So, I think I finally have my house and garage rearranged and organized to make room for all of the Christmas presents Santa brought. It was just a few things but, boy, they seemed to all be really big in size. As you know, I LOVE hosting garage sales. So, consequently, that means I insisted on storing everything we cleaned out until we have our garage sale in the spring. Luckily, we have two big attics in our house to stash all of our junk. But, I know lots of you don't have the luxury of an attic or basement so you have to haul your stuff to a storage building, or eliminate the hoarding all together and simply haul it to Goodwill or the dump. Oh, and I know how those multiple trips to storage buildings or the dump can get tiresome. Even a pickup truck can fill up fast. If this sounds all too familiar to you, maybe it's time to consid
