Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an anchoring kit?

. . . . . .

While ground anchors are not required under all circumstances, Lifetime recommends the use of ground anchors to provide additional stability, especially for windy conditions and under aggressive use.

What is the weight capacity of each station?

. . . . . .

The weight capacity is outlined in the Owners Manual, or contact Customer Care if you would like to know before purchasing a playset.

Does your playground equipment meet ATSM standards?

. . . . . .

Our playground equipment is intended for residential use only and meets the standard of ASTM F-1148 for Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Home Playground Equipment.

What do you recommend for ground cover?

. . . . . .

It is recommended that a shock-absorbing material should extend a minimum of 6 feet in all directions from the perimeter of stationary equipment. Material can include double shredded bark mulch, wood chips, fine sand, fine gravel, and shredded tires. Please click hereor read the Owners Manual for more detailed information.

Will a Lifetime Products playset rust?

. . . . . .

Lifetime uses a powder coating process which coats a bare metal object with an electrostatically charged powder. From there, it is baked at a high temperature. Powder coating is the most durable coloring process on the market. It is stronger than traditional paints but like any protective coating, the powder coating can be damaged. We recommend a monthly check of all metal parts for corrosion. Completely remove the rust and repaint with exterior enamel. For more information on maintaining your playset, click here.

How do I adjust the height of the swings?

. . . . . .

Simply remove the chain from the carabineer and adjust to the correct height.

Can I reverse the location of the clubhouse?

. . . . . .

No, reversal is not possible.
