Lifetime Products Breaks Ground in Tennessee

U.S.-Based Manufacturer to Begin Construction on New Facility

CLEARFIELD, UTAH (May 25, 2016) — Executives from Lifetime Products, Inc. and government leaders of Knox County in Tennessee  gathered on May 25th to break ground for a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Knoxville, planned to be roughly 720,000 square feet. The market leader in product categories like folding tables and chairs, sheds, kayaks, and other home products will invest $115 million into the project, creating hundreds of new jobs for residents of Knoxville and the surrounding areas.

“We spent over a year researching different locations on the east coast,” says Lifetime’s President & CEO Richard Hendrickson. “Tennessee was obviously the best option. Not only will Lifetime be able to meet shipping demand for customers on the east coast, but we are thrilled to be facilitating the creation of hundreds of jobs for the people of Knoxville and the state of Tennessee. Launching the production of this new operation is something we’ve been looking forward to for some time, and we’re excited to finally brake ground, begin operations, start producing, and initiate shipping from this Tennessee facility.”

This new facility from Lifetime Products will produce the company’s line of water sport products including kayaks and paddleboards, as well as their outdoor Play System line of products. With this new location for manufacturing and distribution, Lifetime will be able to meet its customers’ increasing demand for products with faster shipping times.

Speakers for the ground breaking ceremony speakers included Vince Rhoton, EVP Lifetime Products, Inc.; Chris Umberger, Senior Project Manager at Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon, Inc.; Tim Burchett, Mayor of Knox County; Scott Dixon, President and CEO of Stacey Enterprises, Inc.; and Richard Hendrickson, President and CEO Lifetime Products, Inc.
