Lifetime Products Breaks Ground For New State-of-the-Art Shipping Building

July 22, 2020

CLEARFIELD, UTAH (July 22, 2020) — Executives from Lifetime Products, Inc. and government officials from Clearfield, Utah gathered on July 22nd  to break ground for a state-of-the-art shipping facility, planned to be roughly 670,000 square feet. The market leader in product categories like folding tables, chairs, sheds, kayaks, and other home products is expanding operations inside the Freeport Center in Clearfield, Utah.

“Today is a very important day for Lifetime Products. Today marks the beginning of a significant leap into the future for our company. Today represents a re-commitment of Lifetime Products to the City of Clearfield, to the State of Utah, and to the United States of America.,” says Lifetime’s President & CEO Richard Hendrickson. “As we break ground on this new state of the art warehouse, here in the Freeport center, we are once again demonstrating our commitment to manufacturing in the USA, and developing innovative new products at a value price which bring families together. We are demonstrating our commitment to providing opportunities for customers, our suppliers, and most importantly, jobs and opportunities for our people.”

This new building from Lifetime Products will cover 15 acres of the 37 acres on the plot of land. The building itself will be 670,000 square feet which is approximately 11 football fields. With 110 overhead door truck bays and additional planned space for 24 future doors, the building will serve as the primary shipping location for Lifetime and help facilitate shipments to major retailers in the United States and throughout the world like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Home Depot and more. With this new location for distribution, Lifetime will be able to more effectively meet its customers’ increasing demand for products with faster shipping times.

During the construction process, over 3,400 lineal feet of 40’ tall tilt-up precast concrete exterior walls will be used. There will be 80 large exterior windows that will provide natural light into the space. The building will feature a unique design that allows for a full size semi-truck to drive into the building and deliver products. It is anticipated that this project will take 18 months to complete.

Speakers for the ground breaking ceremony speakers included Scott Dixon, President  & CEO of Stacey Construction; Shane Sanders, Design Principal at Sanders Associates Architects; Mark Shepherd, Mayor of Clearfield City; and Richard Hendrickson, President & CEO Lifetime Products, Inc.
