LIFETIME FILES COMPLAINT FOR PATENT INFRINGEMENT AGAINST SHOPKO STORES

CLEARFIELD, UTAH -- Lifetime Products Inc., a worldwide leader in the blow-molded folding table and chair market, has recently been granted additional patents directed to its inventive technology. Lifetime owns an extensive patent portfolio directed to blow-molded plastic tables, chairs and other seating products. Lifetime continues to seek additional patent coverage for its innovative products.

Some of the patents recently granted to Lifetime include United States Patent Nos.: 7,069,865 “High strength, lightweight blow-molded plastic structures”; 7,051,662 “Table with center support assembly”; 7,096,799 “Portable folding table”; 7,096,800 “Portable folding utility table with integral lip”; 7,100,518 “Pivotal connection of a table leg to a frame”; 7,111,563 “Edge and corner for a table top”; 7,114,453 “Table top with a plurality of closely spaced depressions”; and 7,128,002 “Table with integral receiving members”.

Lifetime has continued with its strategy of appropriately enforcing all patent rights, filing a complaint for patent infringement against ShopKo Stores Operating Co., LLC and HGT International Co., LTD. Lifetime has also resolved many of its recent enforcement efforts, with several parties entering into settlement and/or license agreements favorable to Lifetime. The parties include Wen’s Phoenix Corporation, Chillin’ Products, Inc., and Wok & Pan Industries, Inc.

Lifetime’s past enforcement efforts have culminated in several court rulings in favor of Lifetime, awarding injunctive relief and finding patent infringement by many copyists. Lifetime intends to continue its enforcement efforts against infringers in the blow-molded plastic table and chair markets.
