When conditions turn colder, you have the option to mount a heater (not included) and tuck the power cord into the wall channel and through the floor port for a simple and unobtrusive installation. The hinged roof has two gas-springs so it stays open for cleaning, but won’t slam shut on fingers or paws. The double hand-latch release mechanism ensures the roof won’t open due to wind or prying paws. The Lifetime Deluxe Dog House is constructed of durable High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is UV-protected and impact-resistant. The Rough Cut™ texture has the natural look and feel of wood without the maintenance of painting or staining so it can be an attractive addition to any yard or home.
